Championship mode is the main mode in Super Punch-Out!!, and has 4 circuits: Minor Circuit, Major Circuit, World Circuit, and Special Circuit. Until the player defeats the 3 initial champions of the game, Bald Bull, Mr. Sandman, and Super Macho Man, the Special Circuit cannot be seen. However, if they defeat all 3 previous circuits without losing once, they can access the Special Circuit. After beating one circuit, the opponents are unlocked in Time Attack mode. This is likely the SNES equivalant of Contender Mode, as it includes multiple circuits.
