A jab is a technique used in every Punch-Out game. It is one of the basic punches that are used. In every installment of the series, the jab has been used to hit both the face and the body. To aim for the face, the player holds up on the control pad and either one of the punch button to land the shot. By pressing only the punch button, the jabs would target the body. Jabs are great to easily stun an opponent especially to set up for an uppercut or a hook (Arcade series) or even a Star punch. (Little Mac's signature move)
Usage[]
The purpose of the jab is for most patterns or starting a stun. In Punch-Out on the Wii, challenges in Exhibition Mode have jab limits like "Land 50 jabs..."
