Rule Infractions[]

As per the unified rules of boxing established by the Association of Boxing Commissions and Combat Sports:

  • The World Circuit uses a 3 round rule and a 1 round rule (Super Punch-Out only). Professional boxing uses a 12 round rule making this illegal.
  • In Punch-Out Wii, the World Circuit takes place in a heavily decorated colosseum. Professional boxing takes place in regular arenas and the only type of decoration they have is two banners or LED boards displaying the boxers in the match (not counting broadcast graphics) and LED screens in rafters of the arena making this arena unprofessional for professional boxing to take place in.
  • If a boxer is knocked down three times in a single round of a match in the World Circuit, they lose by TKO. The 3-Knockdown does not apply in professional boxing, making this illegal.

The World Circuit has 3 infractions.
